entering her world
of black and white
becomes grey,
not this or that
but all
on a spectrum
of shadow, of light
of murky worlds into
a mind
a time
without a sense of time

following the lines
marks on paper
carefully tended
slowly drawn
detailed and tidy

following the images
from motif to pattern
to shapes dismembered and scattered
contained together

following the spaces
reveals surreal worlds
unknown memories
not flat

the worlds are not tidy
held together
by the black black line
belies the sense underneath

eyes seeing crossed, across
faces facing each other, and away
blossoms and blooms
sun bursts and rays
worlds held together
and almost falling away
